Independently owned since 2013, The Falstaff relaunched in late 2015 after and extensive but sympathetic renovation. It is now a boutique hotel and restaurant with 8 individually designed bedrooms.
The distinctive charm of The Falstaff is the restoration of its past. Every one of its hotel rooms is beautifully decorated with attention to detail and a judicious sprinkling of antiques: period fireplaces, writing desks, oriental rugs and fine prints.
The Falstaff is spread across what was originally two town houses built around 1801. Unfortunately, the property has no lift, and due to the large number of stairs it is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please see our access statement or enquire for further information.
Rooms feature king-sized beds, thick mattresses, plump pillows, and Egyptian cotton linen. Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower. Room 5 has a large bathroom, with bath and walk-in shower. Our largest room, room 1, has a sitting area, and an ante-chamber off the bedroom with writing desk should you need to work whilst in Ramsgate.
On the third floor, room 7 has a super-king sized bed which can be converted to twin beds, and rooms 6 and 7 can be interconnected to make a great family suite. Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers.
Room 8 is situated on the ground floor with direct access to the garden. This is the only dog-friendly room in the hotel.
The garden is secure and suitable for storage of bikes.
